Lisbon Village Council approves purchase of new fire engine
According to Mayor Wilson, the department can begin using the new engine in late March.

LISBON - A new fire engine will soon be joining the fleet of emergency vehicles at the Lisbon Fire Department.
According to a Facebook post made by Lisbon Mayor Pete Wilson, village council members approved the purchase of a previously-owned engine for $500,000.
Mayor Wilson tells 21 News they were able to purchase the 2023 engine at a good price and at very low mileage. He adds that the purchase was made possible with funds from the village's fire levy.
The new truck will replace one that is currently over 20 years old. The Lisbon Fire Department has 8 trucks in their fleet.
According to Mayor Wilson, the department can begin using the new engine in late March.
