A Mercer County jury found a Sharon man guilty Thursday in the 2024 shooting death of a local resident.

Jamel Lamar Jordan, 32, was convicted of first-degree murder and other charges. The charges followed the death of 35-year-old Terran Page-Hughes, who was shot in the head on Ravine Place in Sharon nearly two years ago.

Mercer County District Attorney Peter Acker confirmed the jury reached the verdict after a trial that began earlier this week. Jordan has remained in the Mercer County Prison without bail since he was arrested in May 2024.

According to investigators, Jordan and another person went to the scene to confront Page-Hughes before the shooting occurred. Page-Hughes was transported to a hospital after the incident, where he later died.

Judge Ronald Amrhein Jr. will sentence Jordan later.

Acker also said his office is working to refile charges against another man originally linked to the case, Daniel Odem. A judge previously dismissed the charges against Odem because of problems with a witness.

Another person involved in the case, Billy DeWayne Phillips, is already serving a prison sentence. A jury previously found Phillips guilty of conspiracy and aggravated assault, but he was cleared of murder charges.
