A two-car crash snarled the morning commute in Youngstown's Uptown neighborhood early Friday.

Police, firefighters, and EMTs were called out before 9 a.m. after an accident with injuries was reported along Market Street and Hylda Street.

When first responders arrived, they found a car with heavy damage to the front, and an SUV crossover with a damaged passenger door.  The airbags in the SUV were inflated. Responders on the scene told 21 News that one person was transported to the hospital to get evaluated.

Police blocked the intersection while the accident was being investigated. Market Street was also closed to southbound traffic from Indianola Avenue to Hylda Street.
