In New Castle, Pennsylvania, authorities are investigating after one man was killed in a crash involving a pedestrian.

According to a report from our NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, WPXI, a supervisor with the Lawrence County 911 center said that the crash happened at Wilmington Road and Edison Avenue around 6:30 p.m.

One person was taken to the hospital, where it is reported that the man died from his injuries.

The victim's identity is unknown at this time.

The New Castle Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists unit are investigating the incident.
