Businessman, former baseball star to give lecture at Stambaugh Auditorium
Alex Rodriguez, also known as "A-Rod", is presenting as the next speaker of the Youngstown State University (YSU) Thomas Colloquium Series, taking place on Tuesday, March 26, 2026, at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The program starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
Tickets are required to attend the event and can be purchased at the DeYor Performing Arts Center Box Office, located at 260 W Federal St, or can be purchased online on the Stambaugh Auditorium website.
According to a news release from YSU, Rodriguez is "one of the most accomplished athletes and business leaders of his generation."
Rodriguez played in the MLB for 22 years and finished as a 12-time All-Star player. He also won "most valuable player" three times during his career.
According to Rodriguez’s business website, he founded A-Rod Corp in 1995, during his playing career. The company is an investment firm that focuses on real estate.
In 2025, Rodriguez and Marc Lore became co-chairmen and controlling owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx franchises.
Stambaugh Auditorium is located at 1000 5th Ave in Youngstown.
