EAST PALESTINE - Two men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a narcotics investigation on Wednesday.

According to a release by East Palestine Chief of Police Chris Weingart, 27-year-old Micah Barnes of Pittsburgh and 24-year-old Jaiden Curtis Tillman of Pittsburgh have both been arrested and charged.

The release states Barnes hit four East Palestine Police cruisers with his vehicle and fled the scene after he and Tillman attempted "to deliver a substantial amount of cocaine".

Barnes then crashed his vehicle and fled on foot, but was eventually captured and arrested.

It was a joint effort by multiple law agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police, Chippewa Township Police, its K-9 Unit, and the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office drone unit, to find and ultimately take Barnes into custody.

Tillman was removed from the vehicle and arrested on scene.

Tillman is being held in the Columbiana County Jail, while Barnes is being held in Pennsylvania, awaiting transport back to Ohio.

Barnes is charged with felonious assault on a peace officer, drug trafficking, possessing weapons under disability and possession of criminal tools. Tillman is charged with obstruction official business.
