Long-time shelter resident gets adopted, walks the red carpet

YOUNGSTOWN - The Animal Charity of Ohio sent off one of its long-time residents on Thursday.
Rally (pictured above) had spent the last three years in the shelter, but was recently adopted by a family.
In celebration, Animal Charity hosted a red carpet send-off for Rally before he starts his new life at his new home with his new family.
"Rally is such a special boy. He has been so patient and so deserving of a family of his own. We could not be more excited to see him finally get the life he's been waiting for," a release states.
Rally was rescued from a neglect case with seven other dogs, who all had been adopted.
Despite his background, Rally's loving personality has shown bright throughout the years at the shelter.
"He's just a lovely, lovely couch potato. He loves people, he loves dogs, and he's been incredibly social to everyone at adoption events," said Animal Charity of Ohio Board President Jenny Falvey.
To help more of Rally's friends at the shelter get adopted, Animal Charity is offering 50% off all adoption fees until the end of February. Currently, the shelter is caring for over 260 animals.
Adoption hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Animal Charity of Ohio is located at 8469 Southern Boulevard #3 in Boardman.
