KINSMAN, Ohio - A new barbecue restaurant located in Trumbull County officially opened its doors on Friday with a ribbon-cutting celebration.

Apprentice BBQ, located in Kinsman, offers a wide variety of meats, including slow-smoked barbecue pork, chicken, brisket, Italian sausage and sides such as smoked vegetables and smoked mac and cheese.

Along with its meat selection, Apprentice BBQ also serves wraps and sub sandwiches.

On Fridays and Sundays, the restaurant will feature breakfast served throughout its hours of operation.

Nick Pieper with Apprentice BBQ's personal favorite item on the menu is the Farm Fire, a sandwich that weighs nearly 1 pound and includes pulled pork, brisket, chicken, bacon and a house-made spicy mayonnaise.

Apprentice BBQ is located at 6442 Kinsman-Nickerson Road in Kinsman. Its operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
