One person in custody following police chase that ended in Mahoning County
The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) has confirmed with 21 News that one person has been taken into custody following a police chase.
A member of the OSHP Canfield Post told 21 News that troopers from the post were called to assist troopers from the OSHP Portage Post with a pursuit around 5 p.m. on Friday.
Several agencies responded to the incident.
The member of the Canfield Post stated that as of 5:40 p.m., one suspect has been taken into custody following the chase that began in Portage County.
At this time, it is unknown how long the chase lasted in total, but the chase did end along Tippecanoe Road near Leffingwell in Boardman Township.

No crashes are reported that the OSHP Canfield Post is aware of in connection with this chase.
At this time, the identity of the suspect taken into custody is unknown.
