WARREN - The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project is asking the public for information regarding two guinea pigs that were found abandoned at a gas station in Warren on Friday.

The founder and owner of the Project Jason Cooke tells 21 News the guinea pigs were found in separate cages at Rocky's Warren Sunoco on West Market Street. He adds that the two were huddled in their cages to try to find warmth from the cold temperatures.

Cooke said they both have been taken in by Healthy Hearts and Paws and are safe at its shelter in Warren.

The shelter is asking anyone with information to contact The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project through its Facebook page or text GUINEA to (234) 855-5847.
