AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -  An apartment fire in Austintown Sunday night led to the evacuation of several other units in the complex.

Fire crews were called to Hillbrook Apartments in Austintown just after 8:00 p.m. Sunday night for a reported kitchen fire.

Apartment units located in the same building as the kitchen fire were briefly evacuated as fire crews investigated the scene.

Though it was a working fire when they arrived, crews on the scene told 21 News they were able to contain the flames to the unit it started in. There was damage to that unit but nobody was injured.

As of 9:00 p.m. residents are returning to their apartments. Crews said everyone will be able to return to their homes, except for the resident whose unit contained the fire.
