New scholarship introduced for Valley students with Type 1 Diabetes

A new scholarship opportunity of up to $3,000 is now available for Mahoning Valley students struggling with Type 1 Diabetes.
The scholarships were introduced by the Struthers-based Thomas J. Seefred Trust, and is available to college students between the ages of 18 and 25 who are actively engaged in completing a standard curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree at an accredited college, junior college or university.
The scholarship is open to students throughout Ohio, with a special emphasis on students in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties. Current high school students are not eligible for the scholarships.
Those interested in applying can do so on the Thomas J. Seefred website by downloading a form. Submissions must be sent by June 1, and all recipients are set to be notified after July 1.
