A Warren woman accused of Medicaid fraud was arraigned in a Franklin County court on Monday.

Tonya Ware, 60, of Warren, is one of nine people accused of Medicaid fraud that totaled a combined theft of $478,000 from the health-care program.

Ware allegedly billed for services between May 2024 and June 2025 when traveling in Arizona, Florida, Texas and the Bahamas.

The loss to Medicaid was reportedly $4,072.

Ware was arraigned in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on Monday at 1 p.m. She is charged with one count of Medicaid fraud, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of theft, also a fifth-degree felony.

According to court records, a recognizance bond was issued in the amount of $1,000.

Another court hearing has not been set at this time.
