HOWLAND - Traffic is backed up on a stretch of State Route 82 in Howland Township following a crash.

A dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol's (OSP's) Warren post tells 21 News the crash happened at the intersection of SR-82 and Howland-Wilson Road shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The crash involved a car and SUV, with both appearing to have sustained front-end damage. Two people in the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, one person in the SUV was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ohio Department of Transportation's (ODOT's) OHGO traffic map shows that traffic is backed up in both directions.

Eastbound traffic is delayed just after the off-ramp onto Niles-Cortland Road until the Howland-Wilson Road intersection. Meanwhile, westbound traffic is delayed starting at the intersection all the way to the off-ramp from State Route 11.

There are no road closures, but lane restrictions are in place for both eastbound and westbound traffic, according to OHGO.
