YOUNGSTOWN - Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR) is preparing for its Velocity Tour event at Youngstown's Covelli Centre Friday and Saturday by finding the answer to one simple question.

That question? How many YSU offensive linemen does it take to match the weight of one world-class bucking bull? The answer was revealed at a ceremonial weigh-in on Thursday, February 26 at the Covelli Centre.

Boot Barn's Tyrone, one of the most powerful bucking bulls in bullriding, and members of YSU's football team stepped up on a scale to see how many players it takes to match Tyrone's weight.

Tyrone weighed 1,945 pounds. It was found that it takes nine YSU offensive linemen to match his weight. The weight of the nine linemen totaled 2,075 pounds.

The nine linemen who participated include Desmeal Leigh, Shane Keenan, Isaac Perkins, Nick Nielsen, Mason Ludwig, Matt Keeley, Rex Lahr, Clay Lawrence and Vince Luce.

According to a press release, Tyrone is cared for by Justin Cornwell of Cornwell Bucking Bulls, an Ohio stock contractor who has supplied PBR with bulls for more than 20 years.

In professional bull riding, bulls account for 50% of the rider's score, and are widely regarded as the true "rock stars" of the sport.

You can see Tyrone and plenty more bulls in action at the Velocity Tour, which will make a stop at the Covelli Centre on Friday, February 27, and Saturday, February 28.
