WARREN - The case of a Warren man arrested following a standoff in Warren last week is now in the hands of a Trumbull County Grand Jury.

Forty-nine-year-old Tony Walton waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Warren Municipal Court on Monday, and his case was bound over to the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, where a grand jury will decide whether there is enough evidence to indict him.

Walton will remain in the Trumbull County Jail without bond for the time being.

Walton is currently charged with two counts of felonious assault, stemming from an incident that occurred on Thursday, February 19 when Walton allegedly shot at two vehicles.

No one was injured in the shooting.

A warrant was served against Walton the following day, which led to a standoff that prompted a response from the Warren Police Department, Trumbull County Sheriff's Office, the Youngstown Police Department and the SWAT Team.

Eventually, Walton came out of the house and was taken into police custody.
