Back to milder weather Friday, but early March snow is a good bet

After spending the afternoon in the 30s on Thursday, temperatures will bounce back into the 50s on Friday and a good deal of sun is also on the way. The final day of February will follow suit, as our forecast for Saturday includes a fair amount of sun and readings will be near the 50-degree mark.
A cold front is on track to cross the area Saturday, and while no precipitation is expected during the daylight hours, some light snow is likely to break out overnight. There may be up to an inch or so of snow before daybreak Sunday. The daylight hours of March 1st will be cold but quiet with a brisk wind as well.
Another round of light snow will impact the area Sunday night into Monday; accumulations should be modest once again. We expect temperatures to be warm enough for rain by Tuesday afternoon....and a significant warmup is anticipated later next week.
