YOUNGSTOWN - YSU's College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) hosted its annual spring STEM Jobs Expo on Thursday.

The expo offered students a chance to look into careers and get to know potential companies looking to hire them after graduation. Companies packed into the Stambaugh Stadium Gymnasium, looking to fill a variety of positions including internships, co-ops and full time roles.

"We have students that are graduating in April so they are looking for that full time opportunity, that professional career to get started and then we also have students doing the internship and co-op to get their feet wet so they can get some kind of experience that matches the major they are pursuing," Executive Director of YSU STEM Professional Services Sherri Hrusovski said.

The university's STEM expo happens every spring and fall semester. Leadership at YSU STEM says they have seen great successes in landing students at a company, and helping them take the very first steps of their careers.
