Bicyclist killed in Warren Township hit and run crash identified

WARREN TWP., Ohio - The bicyclist who was killed in a hit and run crash in Warren Township earlier this week has been identified.
According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the victim has been identified as 21-year-old Jeffrey Hillard of Warren.
Hillard was struck by a four door sedan on Thursday, February 26 while traveling on West Main Avenue Extension.
The impact forced both Hillard and the bicycle off the east side of the roadway. The driver of the sedan fled the scene following the crash.
Hillard was not wearing a helmet or protective gear at the time of the incident and succumbed to his injuries on scene.
According to state troopers, the driver and the suspect vehicle have been identified, but will not be announced due to the crash remaining under investigation.
