A Youngstown building's alarms could be heard through the downtown streets Saturday morning after an apparent glitch in the building's computer system.

A resident of the International Towers building called into 21 News stating that the alarms had been going off since around 9 a.m. Saturday. 

The resident also said that they heard that the alarms were due to a glitch in the building's alarm system.

The caller raised concerns for the elderly residents who may not have the assistance needed to leave the building during this time.

As of 11:35 a.m. Saturday, the alarms could no longer be heard.

21 News has reached out to the Youngstown Fire Department, Police Deparment and International Towers for comment and has not yet recieved response.
