POLAND Crews from multiple fire departments are at the scene of a fire at a Poland home.

Crews were called to a home on West Manor Avenue near 5th Street shortly before 7 a.m. for the report of a structure fire. Our 21 News crew at the scene saw smoke emitting from the home.

Western Reserve Joint Fire District Chief David "Chip" Comstock tells 21 News the house sustained "extensive damage" and is uninhabitable for the time being.

Everyone in the home, including five occupants and two dogs, evacuated safely. One person was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation, but is expected to be ok.

Poland firefighters were assisted by crews from Boardman, Struthers and Springfield Township.

At this time, it is unclear what caused the fire or if anyone was injured.
