Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is inviting the community to register for a "Feed the Need Fun Run" slated to begin on May 16, 2026.

The food bank announced the event in a news release on Monday, March 3.

The 0.1-mile fun run will take place at Firestone Farms, which can be found at 101 Town Center Avenue in Columbiana. Registration is $10 per participant, and will take place from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Participants are also encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to receive an entry ticket for a prize drawing.

The kids run for children 12-years-old and under will follow registration at 11 a.m., and the adult run for everyone over 12-years-old will begin at 11:30 a.m.

There will be an awards ceremony at 12 p.m. with fun activities immediately following the ceremony.

The registration price includes race entry, a keepsake cup, a free ice cream treat and access to all activities.

Racers of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate through a "jog, walk, dance, skip, or power-strut" to the finish line, according to the release. Costumes are encouraged.
