Fire damages home in New Castle
When crews got to the scene, smoke was coming out of the attic. They were able to get the fire under control in less than an hour and restricted the fire to just the attic floor.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - A home in New Castle was partially damaged due to a fire on Tuesday afternoon.
The New Castle Fire Department was called out to the two-story home residing on the 300 block of East Lincoln Avenue around 4:00 p.m.
When crews got to the scene, smoke was coming out of the attic. They were able to get the fire under control in less than an hour and restricted the fire to just the attic floor.
A dispatcher with the New Castle Fire Department said there was a family inside the home, but they were able to escape safely with no injuries.
The dispatcher adds that the most damage was done to the attic floor, and the second floor sustained minor damage.
It is unknown what caused the fire to start.
