BOARDMAN - A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after being struck by a car in a Boardman parking lot.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in a parking lot on Doral Drive.

Officers on scene tell 21 News a vehicle struck a woman who was walking in the area.

She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officers said they found an open container in the car. They tested the driver for a DUI, but the results came back negative. They do not suspect alcohol as a factor in the accident.
