Youngstown's Simply Slavic festival expands to three days in 2026

YOUNGSTOWN - Simply Slavic is returning to downtown Youngstown in 2026, and this time the festival will be even bigger to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
In years past, the festival took place over two days. This year, the festival has added a third day, running from Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28, at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre in downtown Youngstown.
The fun kicks off on Friday, June 26, at 5 p.m. and lasts until 11 p.m. The festival will continue from noon to midnight on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The festival will be chock-full of authentic Slavic food, music, dancing, vendors and traditions. Sunday's event will include a Catholic Mass, an ecumenical celebration, a Mascot Day and even more family-friendly cultural activities.
Simply Slavic Board of Directors President John Slanina reflected on the festival's 15th anniversary in a press release.
"For 15 years, Simply Slavic has celebrated the rich cultural traditions that shaped the Mahoning Valley. Expanding to three days, at least for this year, allows us to deepen that celebration while creating even more opportunities for families and visitors to experience our heritage," Slanina said.
Sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 festival are now open. Those interested in becoming a sponsor can do so by clicking here.
