Three finalists announced for Poland Local Schools Superintendent

POLAND - The Poland Local School District is down to three finalists in its search for a new superintendent following the departure of Craig Hockenberry.
The three finalists are former Liberty Local Schools Superintendent and current Poland Local Schools Interim Superintendent Andrew Tommelleo, Louisville City Schools Assistant Superintendent Anna Minor and Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools Superintendent Andreas Johansson.
The school board is set to hold final interviews at Poland Seminary High School on Monday, March 9, and could potentially announce its choice as soon as its next meeting on Wednesday, March 11.
The search for a new superintendent began after Hockenberry announced his retirement in November 2025 due to an esophageal cancer diagnosis.
Tommelleo was selected as Interim Superintendent at a school board meeting in December.
