The Youngstown State men's basketball team fell short at Robert Morris 68-53 in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament.
YSU kept it close throughout the first half and trailed 28-23 at halftime. The Penguins tied the game at 28 early in the second half on a dunk from Vlad Salaridze, but the Colonials would pull away. With 4:20 to play, Robert Morris reached a 20-point lead on a three-pointer from Ryan Prather Jr.
Prather Jr. led the Colonials with 24 points while DeSean Goode and Darius Livingston both added 12.
The Penguins were led by Salaridze with 18 in the loss and Cris Carroll added 17.
Youngstown State lost to Robert Morris three times throughout the season.
The Penguins season ends with a 15-17 overall record.
