A Niles Christian school hosted a K-5 Literacy Night on Thursday, with hands-on demonstrations, engagement activties and take-home resources.

Victory Christian School, located on Pleasant Valley Road, stated that the night was designed to bring teachers, students and families together to strengthen literacy skills and increase student achievement.

Opportunities for families to connect with teachers were also available as they rotated through stations focused on different areas of learning. 

The event focused on phonics, fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Parents were able to leave Literacy Night equipped with tools to continue learning and reinforce the lessons at home.
