Students explore career paths at CCCTC Sophomore Showcase

The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center (CCCTC) held its Sophomore Showcase on Thursday, letting students see all that the center has to offer.
During the showcase, visitors were able to learn about career and technical skills as well as career possibilities available for each of the programs.
"Every year, we're right around 95% of our students are either employed, enrolled or enlisted in the military (six months post-graduation)," Director and Assistant Superintendent Jordan Williams said. "We have a lot of success in making sure our students are prepared for their future and ready to go out in whatever they may choose to do."
February marked CCCTC's career and technical education month, and Thursday's event welcomed students and parents from local school districts in Columbiana County.
"Career tech is becoming increasingly popular; we see it every year with larger and larger numbers that want to take advantage of the opportunity that career tech provides," Williams said.
Williams said that most programs fill up fairly quickly, with the First Priority application deadline set for April 1, 2026.
Potential students interested in joining can visit the CCCTC website. High school students must have "junior status" to enroll in the center, Williams said.
