Valley-Natives Nick Vanoverbeke and Garrett McIntyre opened "Fat Axxes" in Weathersfield in 2019, but now, due to attendance dropping, the axe-throwing business is closing its doors.
Owner Vanoverbeke told 21 News that attendance has declined in the last two summer seasons, and that the last day of business will be March 28.
The post on Facebook read, "The last few summers we have gone backwards and business has slowed tremendously. Our busier winter months have only helped us catch up. Unfortunately, at this time, we can not afford to float another summer; we were not even able to recover from last summer."
Vanoverbeke said they would love for people to come out and have fun one more time before their last day.
