Youngstown Community School will be closed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, due to a sewer break in the school.
According to a Facebook post made on the school's page and a notification shared on the 21 News website, a sewer break is impacting the school.
As a result, a "calamity day" has been put in place, and classes will not be held for students.
The post reads:
"The safety and health of our students and staff is our top priority. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and will provide updates as needed."
The school's superintendent tells 21 News that the break is not severe and shouldn't impact classes beyond Wednesday. Classes are expected to resume on Thursday, March 12.
