Hempfield Fire Chief Chris Rayburn has implemented a burn ban for all outdoor burning in Hempfield and Sugar Grove Townships.

According to a release, the property owner could be fined or charged for the cost of equipment and/or fire personnel used to respond to a brush or outdoor fire.

The ban will be in place until further notice.
