After a cold Tuesday, temperatures warm up to end the week

After an active morning with lake effect snow continuing for many, snow showers will continue to be widely scattered for a time through the early evening. Tuesday will remain very cold, temperatures will peak in the upper 20s, and wind chill values will range from the single digits to low teens. This could easily be our coldest Saint Patrick's since 1976.
Wednesday will remain chilly, but not as cold, with high temperatures reaching the upper 30s. Expect some sunshine from time to time on Wednesday, but the day will stay dry.
Showers will return to the forecast closer to sunset on Thursday with a brief window of widespread rain Thursday evening. High temperatures on Thursday will reach the upper 40s and then rise to the mid 50s to end the week on Friday.
This weekend will start mild with high temperatures in the low 60s on Saturday, but a potential passing cold front may end the weekend on a chilly note. Showers could potentially return later in the day on Sunday.
