WARREN - A Warren man has been indicted on Wednesday in connection with a standoff at a hotel in Niles in December of 2025.

Sixty-three-year-old Mickel Hall was indicted in February on two counts of felonious assault with firearm specifications, as well as one count each of domestic violence and possession of a fentanyl-related compound.

A superseding indictment filed on Wednesday, March 18 now adds one additional charge of having weapons while under disability.

The charges stem from an incident that began in Warren when Hall allegedly shot a woman in the chest before fleeing in a vehicle that was later found at the Days Inn hotel on Route 422 in Niles.

This led to a standoff in which Hall allegedly refused to come out of a hotel room until officers used tear gas to subdue him.

Hall is due back in court to be arraigned on his new charge on March 24. A pretrial for Hall's four existing charges is also scheduled for that day.
