A splendid Saturday, but a potentially stormy Sunday

In the wake of some afternoon rain showers Friday, areas of fog will be a concern for travelers overnight and early on Saturday. Otherwise, a pleasant and mild Saturday is on tap for the region with afternoon temperatures rising into the upper 50s. The rain-free weather will stick around into Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon may be a different story as a strong cold front slides southward through the region. Ahead of the front, it will be much warmer Sunday with highs near or above 70 degrees. However, showers and thunderstorms will become increasingly likely as Sunday afternoon wears on. The risk for heavy, gusty storms may be highest to our south, but severe weather can't be ruled out in northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania as well. Any more potent thunderstorm could contain strong winds and hail. The rain will push away by midnight or so, leaving just a blanket of clouds overhead as many head out the door Monday morning.
Monday will be a sharply colder day with temperatures staying in the 30s. The back-and-forth pattern is set to continue with a nice midweek warm up, but a late week cool down expected.
