Schools delayed as Valley road crews tackling slushy, slippery roads
Authorities are urging drivers to be cautious as they head out on the roads this morning. The Ohio Department of Transportation has 40 trucks out salting surfaces and plowing the heavy slush left behind by snow, followed by wet rain. Most of the primary state roads have been treated. Now crews are working on secondary roads.

There are still some slippery spots, causing cars to go off the roads and ramps.
Austintown Police temporarily shut down Ohltown Road north of Norquest Blvd. at around 6 am when a truck became stuck on an icy hill.
Around 7 am, a truck was blocking Thompson Sharpsville Road, just east of Route 7 north of Yankee Lake in Trumbull County.
Many Valley schools are delaying start times by two hours.
