Parent arrested at Warren's Willard school

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

Warren police have arrested a parent who school officials say became involved in an argument at the Willard PK-8 school building.

According to school officials, the School Resource Officer was called after the parents became involved in a “verbal altercation” at the school office Thursday morning.

In a statement from Superintendent Steve Chiaro says that one of the parents was arrested after she refused to cooperate with the Resource Officers attempt to restore order in the office.

A police report says 29-year-old Desirae Boss was arrested after the altercation turned physical.

According to the report, Boss was yelling and swearing inside the main office of the middle school as a school employee tried to block her from getting farther into the building.

A school resource officer reportedly told Boss that she needed to leave and attempted to try to escort her outside.

A report says that as the officer tried to escort Boss out of the building they tripped and Boss ended up on top of the officer.

Boos allegedly tried to get back up and into the school foyer. The officer reported that they finally escorted Boss outside when she began yelling that she needed her phone.

The officer said when he went to get her phone, Boss began screaming at another school employee.

According to the report, while the school resource officer was attempting to get boss away from that employee she began hitting him in the chest.

AS the officer attempted to place Boss under arrest, the report says she continued to struggle, knocking them both to the ground and refusing to stay still.

Boss was eventually arrested and taken to the Trumbull County Jail on charges of criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.
