TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - It's been almost three years since Trumbull County received more than $38 million in American Rescue Plan funding for COVID relief.

As of Tuesday, they have $10.3 million dollars left to spend.

In August, 21 News reported that the county still had $10.5 million.

But now more funds have been reallocated for a total of $7.4 million in the general fund, and $2.9 million in the revenue loss fund.

County commissioners will now have to go over those proposed projects.

"We're going through all the applications to determine if the projects are eligible and identifying which ones the commissioners want to move forward on with funding," Trumbull County Commissioner Niki Frenchko said.

Out of the 81 proposals remaining for the ARP funds, only five projects so far have been selected for approval. That includes a roof repair project for the Niles Historical Society and park projects in Bristol Township.
