Ohio & Mahoning Valley - Tuesday marks the deadline for Ohioans to register to vote in the 2024 primary election. Here's everything you need to know if you still need to register.

There are multiple ways to register including in person, by mail and online. To register online click here.

If you'd rather register in person, all you have to do is pick up a voter registration form, fill it out, sign it and return a voter registration form, which can be found at any of the following locations:

- The office of the Secretary of State

- All county Boards of Elections

- Any Ohio BMV office

- Public libraries

- Public high schools or vocational schools

- County treasurers' offices

- The Department of Job and Family Services

- The Department of Health (including the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program)

- The Department of Mental Health

- The Department of Developmental Disabilities

- Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities

- The office of any state-assisted college or university responsible for providing assistance to students with disabilities.

You can also access the form by clicking here, printing it and filling it out.

Once you have completed the form and ensured it's accurate, you can either personally deliver it or mail it to either your county's Board of Elections or the Secretary of State's office.

If you've already registered to vote in Ohio, but have since moved or legally changed your name, you must submit a new form. This new form will also act as a name/address change form.

If done properly, your registration will be updated and you'll be sent a notice reflecting your new name and/or address. If your form is incomplete, you'll instead be sent a notice of the information needed to update your registration.

Early in-person voting, as well as absentee voting by mail begins on Wednesday, February 21. For in-person, this includes the last two Saturdays and the last Sunday before Election Day. All applications for absentee ballots must be received by your local Board of Elections by 8:30 p.m. on March 12.

From there, all absentee ballots must be postmarked by Monday, March 18. If not returned by mail, absentee ballots must be received by your local Board of Elections by the end of the day on Election Day.

Election Day voting will take place on Tuesday, March 19 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
