October 4: Canfield Fall Festival on the Canfield Village Green. Food, drinks, music from 4 to 8 p.m.
October 11: Pumpkin Spice Festival at The Freightyard (1588 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Features a fall market, a pumpkin patch, a pumpkin pie baking contest, and more.
October 14-October 31: Boardman Park's FREE Halloween Lights Drive-Thru Display at 375 Boardman-Poland Road from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Drivers may also tune their radios to 88.9 FM to enjoy music while looking at the light display.
October 17: OktoberVines at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Assumption Social Center (356 South Belle Vista Avenue, Youngstown) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Features wine tasting, beer tasting, dinner, live music, a wine pull, and raffles to support Ursline Sisters Mission. Tickets can be found online here.
October 17: Not So Haunted House in Austintown Plaza, 10 am to 1 pm, for a free sensory-friendly Halloween experience for schools and providers only on Friday. This is designed for children and adults of all ages and abilities with unique needs, allowing them to enjoy Halloween. The event will have interactive stations, walk-through adventures, and free candy. Non-scary costumes are encouraged.
October 17: Southern Park Mall Candy Crawl - Friday, October 17, from 5-7 p.m. The Candy Crawl starts at DeBartolo Commons and continues throughout the mall with participating stores. Trick-or-Treat indoors, collect candy from your favorite shops, snap festive photos along the way, and enjoy spooky fun for the whole family!
October 17-19: Boardman Park's Pumpkin Carve Out Contest. Pumpkins will be lit and on display at the bocce court as part of the park's Spooktacular Halloween Drive-Thru. There is a $5 fee for the pumpkin. Hours are: Friday 5-8 p.m., Saturday 1-8 p.m., and Sunday 1-5 p.m.

This is designed for children and adults of all ages and abilities with unique needs, allowing them to enjoy Halloween. October 18: Fall Maker's Market at Halliday's Winery (2400 NE River Road, Lake Milton) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Features vendors, wine, and other refreshments, and seasonal gifts and treats.
October 18: Halloween Hangout at Full Spectrum Community Outreach (660 West Earl Avenue, Youngstown) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Features crafts, a bounce house if weather permits, free candy, giveaways, and more. This event is free and open to the public.
October 21: Trick-Or-Pete at Penguin Madness: This event is presented by 21 WFMJ and will take place at the Beeghly Center on YSU's campus from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Folks are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat with supporting area businesses. Guests can also meet YSU's men's and women's basketball teams ,and the first 100 YSU students to attend will receive a free t-shirt. YSU students will also get two half-court shot opportunities to win $500. Parking is available in the M-81 lot.
October 22nd: Trick-or-Treat at Eastwood Field: The Scrappers are excited to announce the twenty-seventh annual Trick-or-Treat at Eastwood Field, presented by Once Upon A Child – Niles, with media partners 21 WFMJ and WBCB. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with October 23rd as a rain date. Trick or Treat at Eastwood Field is a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween for children ages 12 and under. Ticket quantities are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children and adults will require a ticket. Tickets are $1.00 each and are available at the Scrappers Team Office located at Eastwood Field. Additionally, anyone who donates non-perishable food items at the Trick or Treat event for Feed Our Valley will receive a free general admission Scrappers ticket valid during the 2026 season.
October 25: Trunk or Treat at Austintown Township Park (6000 Kirk Rd) from 3 to 5 p.m. Those looking to participate in the trunk or treat as a trunk display can find the form here.
October 25: Halloween on Main Street in Downtown Cortland, 5 to 7 p.m. Food trucks, candy giveaways, and spooky fun for all ages.
October 25: EMO-WEEN 2025 at Westside Bowl (2617 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown) with doors opening at 7 p.m. and showtime at 8 p.m. A benefit for All About the Pawz, tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. Features karaoke, a cover band, a raffle, a costume contest, and more. Costumes are encouraged.
October 25: Rocky Horror Prom & Movie at Penguin City Brewing Company (460 East Federal Street, Youngstown) beginning at 7 p.m. The fourth annual event aims to raise money for Rebel Rescue and celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show film.
October 25: Austintown Township's Annual Trunk or Treat at Austintown Township Park (6000 Kirk Road, Austintown) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
October 25: The Howl-o-Weenies Ball at the Corinthian Event Center from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests can enjoy a dinner buffet with one drink included, as well as prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a photo booth, and a costume contest. Tickets are $50 and benefit Another Chance Animal Rescue. Tickets can be purchased at Webb Winery in Hermitage, Happy Tales Vet Clinic in Clark, or by emailing LadyScoutsPA@gmail.com.
October 25: Halloween Trial of Treats in Wick Park (260 Park Avenue, Youngstown) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This event is free and family-friendly. It features candy, hayrides and facepainting.
October 25: Plaza-Wide Trick or Treat, spanning the three plazas surrounding 1315 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman. The event features free trick-or-treating at various businesses, one costume contest for children and another costume contest for dogs at 2 p.m. outside of One Hot Cookie and Spruce Home Decor & Gifts. Prizes will be awarded.
October 26: Ablaze Ministries, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown. Trunk or Treat event.
October 27: 6th Annual Trunk or Treat at #1 Cochran Nissan Boardman Plaza (7809 Market Street, Boardman) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Features local businesses, a bounce house, face painting, food and other treats and more.
October 31-November 1: The Official Halloween Bar Crawl at Penguin City Brewing Company (460 East Federal Street, Youngstown) with check-in from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A full list of details, including bar-crawl locations and ticket information, can be found on Facebook. All attendees must be 21 years old or older to participate.
October 31: Carnival Harvest and Trunk or Treat at Grace Evangelistic Temple Church (2214 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown) from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Trumbull County
October 3-October 4: Sinister Horror Fest 2025 at Skyway Drive-In (1825 North Leavitt Road NW, Warren) from 4 p.m. to midnight. From noon to 5 p.m. on October 4, admission is free. Both nights of the Sinister Horror Fest 2025 will feature triple movie features on screens one and two at the drive-in. October 4 festivities include trick-or-treating, a costume contest, over 30 vendors, and more. Tickets are available online.
October 4: Fall Fun Day at Hartford Orchards (6953 State Route 305, Hartford) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Features guests Glinda and Elphaba from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for those aged four and up, or free for those four years old and 65 years old or older. Costumes are encouraged.
October 5: Pumpkin Patch/Donut Eating Contest Farmers Market at Sunshine Golden Acres (3335 Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Features vendors, food trucks, apple cider, Amish donuts, and more. A donut-eating contest will take place at noon in the pavilion located on site.
October 11: Sebring Harvest Festival, Downtown Sebring, noon to 8 p.m. Handmade crafts, art, food, and vendors.
October 12: The Ward-Thomas Estate & Greenhouse Fall Market and Fundraiser at the Niles Historical Society (501 Brown Street, Niles) from noon to 4 p.m. Features vendors and artisans, live music, food trucks, raffles, kids' games and activities, and more. Funds gathered during the event will benefit both the Niles Historical Society and All About the Paws Rescue.
October 12: Red White & Spooktacular Annual Car Show at Springfield Local High School, noon to 4 p.m. $7 registration, food concessions on site, kids costume contest 12 & under, trick or treat from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
October 16: Twisted Witches Night Out at Maison de Savon (8238 East Market Street, Warren) from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Features vendors, food trucks, tables, and live music. Costumes are encouraged.
October 17, 18, 24, 25: 2025 Ghost Walk at First Presbyterian Church (256 Mahoning Avenue, Warren) from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tours leave every 15 minutes with the last scheduled to leave at 9 p.m. each tour date. October 18: Hubbard Volunteer Fire Department hosts Fireman's Ball & Halloween Bash. 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at St. Patrick Parish (357 Main Street in Hubbard).
October 19: Trick or Treat Farmers Market. 3335 Mahoning Ave NW, Warren. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors will distribute candy to children in attendance.
October 25: Halloween on Main at the Cortland-Bazetta FOP #168 (400 North High Street, Cortland) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Features candy giveaways from businesses, organizations and individuals, along with police cruisers, fire trucks, tractors and tow trucks.
October 31: Trunk or Treat at Vienna Township Bicentennial Park (4265-4275 Warren-Sharon Rd.) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Music, food, and party.

October 4: Pumpkin Patch with Calcutta Volunteer Firefighters at Randy's Raisings (50462 Calcutta-Smith Ferry Rd), 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., $15 to attend.
