NILES, Ohio - A copper thief is blamed for a phone service outage in Trumbull County on Tuesday.
Utility workers spent the afternoon trying to restore service to parts of Niles and Weathersfield Township.
An AT&T spokesperson says someone took telephone lines from utility poles on West Park Avenue.
The theft cut service to an undetermined number of homes and businesses in the area.
