Lawrence County Jail locked down over bomb threats

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - The Lawrence County jail has been locked down while officials try to determine who keeps phoning in bomb threats to the facility.
The New Castle News reports that the jail has received three threats since Saturday, the last one about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Prison board chairman David Gettings says each time the caller says something like he was going to "come and blow the place up." The facility has been searched after each threat and no bombs or other suspicious devices have been found.
No visitors or other members of the public are being allowed in the jail until authorities figure out what's going on.
Gettings says the lockdown could last a couple more days.
