The city of Warren has about 1,500 vacant homes and the Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership believes half of those vacant homes can be salvaged.

The agency did a study on each section of Warren as part of the Housing and Urban Development Community Challenge Program.

They came up with guidelines on priorities to improve each section of the city to stabilize and build neighborhoods.

On Wednesday at The Raymond John Wean Foundation they shared the results of their study and asked for additional input.

“We have reports with specific recommendations around demolitions, code enforcement, neighborhood engagement and a variety of other things that we want to see happen in the city. We're asking for feedback and for people to look over everything and tell us what they think and also if we missed anything,” said Marissa Williams with the Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership.

The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership is expected to make final recommendations in a couple weeks.
