A Stark County man has been sentenced for a deadly shooting that caused the lockdown of a Youngstown school.

Judge Scott Krichbaum on Monday ordered that 48-year-old Paul Kerr of Louisville, Ohio spend the rest of his life in prison, with no possibility of being paroled.

Kerr was found guilty last week of aggravated murder with a firearm specification.

Investigators say Kerr fatally shot Lenzie Morgan during a family dispute on Shady Run road on September 30. Morgan died in the hospital several days after the shooting.

Summit Academy Secondary School was placed on a perimeter lock down at the request of the Youngstown Police Department that day while they investigated the shooting.

Kerr was arrested in Lawrence County in October and brought back to Ohio for prosecution.
