Jeffrey Lontz says something stinks at his Jefferson Township mobile home park.

He says the sewage pump at Forrest Brooke West that pumps sewage to a nearby treatment plant is overflowing into yards and into the woods.

"We can't go out on the back deck to barbecue when the odor is that bad. I can't go work out in my shed. I have a garden, I can't work in the garden because it's so repulsive it makes me nauseated," said Lontz.

Lontz says he's tried to alert park management about the leak.  "For the past two weeks the alarm light went off and nobody from management has bothered to come back and check it or solve the issue. sewage has been running and flowing over the embankment and down into a creek."

Lontz says that creek eventually spills into Shenango Lake.

An officer from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission says they don't believe the sewage has gotten into the lake but he says it definitely has overflowed into a wetland.

A woman who identified herself as a manager at the mobile home park says to her knowledge the pump had not overflowed for two weeks because someone checks the pumps for leaks on a daily basis.

The PA Department of Environmental Protection says the park owners will be responsible for cleaning up the sewage and they could face fines.
