BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - Students at Boardman Center Middle School now have a special place to go if they're feeling stressed at school.

A new "Living Room" has been built at the school.  Students can visit the room for support services and enriched class presentations.

The room, which officially opened Friday morning, will host a part-time counselor and is furnished with chairs, sofas, and tables.

The school says they hope the Living Room can be a place where students will go to cope and manage life's everyday stresses.

Boardman Center employees say the room was created through participation in Rachel's Challenge.  The challenge, according to its website, is a series of programs that encourage students to sustain a positive, caring learning environment within schools.

Rachel's Challenge is based on the life and writings of 17-year-old Rachel Scott, the first student killed in the 1999 Columbine High School shootings.
