BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Brookfield Police are investigating a robbery of a business along the Ohio-Pennsylvania state line Wednesday morning.

According to police, a man robbed the Express Cash Advance on South Irvine Avenue just after 9 a.m.

Police say the suspect pointed an item in his jacket pocket at the employee and ordered her to the ground.

After taking more than $8,000 in cash, the suspect locked the employee in a back room.

Once the victim heard the suspect leave the store she alerted someone from a neighboring business who contacted police.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black hat, metal rimmed sunglasses, wearing a black zup up hooded jacket and black backpack.
