YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Police detectives are trying to determine who is responsible for a threat phoned in to a Youngstown elementary school early Friday.
What Boardman police characterize as a general threat was received at Paul C. Bunn School as students were arriving for the start of the school day.
Police say the few employees who were in the building at the time were evacuated and students from arriving busses were not allowed into the building while a search was conducted.
The school was reopened after the sweep turned up no evidence of a real threat.
Some students were permitted to go home with their parents.
Although Paul C. Bunn is part of the Youngstown City School District, it is located in Boardman Township.
