YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A man who walked into a Youngstown restaurant for a bite to eat walked out in handcuffs after police discovered that he was a wanted man.

Two Boardman Police Officers were driving through Youngstown's South Side Tuesday afternoon when they spotted a Ford Escape that had been stolen during a burglary in the township five days earlier.

In addition, the officer identified the driver of the S-U-V as the same man seen in surveillance video that was recorded during the crime.

Accompanied by officers from the Youngstown Police Department, Police followed the suspect and his companion into the McDonald's Restaurant on Market Street and ordered the two men to place their hands on the counter.

Police handcuffed the men, one of whom was identified as 33-year-old Steven Timmins of Youngstown.

Under questioning, police say Timmins admitted walking into a house on Southern Boulevard last Thursday, where he found the keys to the S-U-V, and then drove it away.

Officers say they found drugs on Timmins, who was booked into the Mahoning County jail on charges of receiving stolen property, burglary, and drug abuse involving heroin, cocaine and and Suboxone.

Police say the second man, Kenneth Hubbard, was carrying a crack pipe. Hubbard is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
