YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Zac Brown Band is expected to draw record crowds at Stambaugh Stadium for the first Y Live concert.
For those that plan on going, the city of Youngstown and Youngstown State University have set up particular rules and regulations that must be followed.
Getting There
Y Live created this PDF to aid people in getting to YSU's Stambaugh Stadium.
A shuttle will be available to take people to the concert. It begins at Walnut Street, goes to the back entrance of the Wick Avenue deck and then to Lincoln Avenue.
Parking
Certain parking lots are either closed all day or are closing early for the event.
Lots closed all day:
F-80 north of Stambaugh Stadium
M-70, M-71, M-72 and M-66 located west of Fifth Avenue
M-63 located on Lincoln Avenue west of Fifth Avenue
Lots closing early:
M-62, closed 2 pm, vacate immediately
M-61, closed 2 pm, vacate immediately
M-53, closed 2 pm, vacate immediately
M-60, Fifth Avenue parking deck, closed 2 pm, vacate by 5 pm.
F-55, closed 2 pm, vacate by 5 pm.
M-50, closed 2 pm, vacate by 5 pm.
Youngstown State University said there will be plenty of parking available.
Getting In
Doors to the stadium open at 5:30 pm on Thursday for the show, which starts at 7:00 pm. There will be a tailgate lot next to Stambaugh Stadium that will be open beginning at 2:00 pm.
Tickets are needed to get into the Phantom Fireworks Tailgate Party with a car. These tickets are currently sold out. However, walking into the tailgate party does not require a ticket.
If using a mobile ticket to attend the show, Y Live advises concert-goers to screenshot their ticket, making sure to get the barcode in the image. If using a print ticket, make sure the ticket is out and presented to the ticket scanners in a timely manner.
Some tickets will still be available for purchase on Thursday before the show at Youngstown State University's mobile box office near gate C in Stambaugh Stadium starting at 10:00 am Prices vary depending on where the seats are in the stadium.
Y Live said these items are not permitted inside Stambaugh Stadium.
- Outside food or beverages (Medical necessities will be exempt if in a clear plastic bag).
- Illegal drugs or substances
- Artificial noisemakers
- Backpacks, bags, coolers, fanny packs or containers of any size.
- Bottles, cans, and flasks
- Purses larger than 10 inches by 7 inches
- Umbrellas
- Video cameras
- Professional cameras with lenses bigger than 6 inches
- Weapons of any kind (batons, knives or chains)
- Laser Pointers
- Strollers
- Drones
- Chairs
- Animals (disability service animals are allowed)
- Confetti or glitter
- Mace or pepper spray
- Unless otherwise authorized by law, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person’s control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance onto these premises.
- Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate.
Other
Y Live advises concert-goers to bring cash to keep the service at food, drink and merchandise stands as fast as possible. Certain stands will accept credit cards and other forms of payment. Stambaugh Stadium itself does not contain ATMs.
Stambaugh Stadium has restrooms and will also provide porta potties for attendees.
The stadium is handicapped accessible.
